Based in the United States since 1910, Elizabeth Arden is a cosmetics, skincare and fragrance company founded by Canadian entrepreneur Florence Nightingale Graham. Elizabeth Arden was both Graham's professional name and the name of her company. Originally, the company focused on skincare and cosmetics, and they opened the first Red Door spa in Manhattan, soon expanding to major cities around the world as their empire grew. The company's first fragrance was Blue Grass, introduced in 1934. Elizabeth Arden introduced eye makeup to American women and pioneered the "makeover."
